As we sail the summer breeze,

I hold you tight and feel at ease.

’Tis the season that we seize,

like the flowers and the bees.

As we sit beside the lake,

I give my hand for you to take,

and together we will make

love for heaven’s sake.

As we watch the setting sun,

and the sky melt into one

like our hearts have often done,

know our time has just begun.

Windy leaves, misty breeze

Bring to ease my troubled mind.

In the grass there is a pact

Still intact from root to vine.

Babbling brook,

Will you babble for me

When I’m old and tired

And can no longer see?

~

Babbling brook,

Will you tell me a tale

When I’m worn and weak

And my feet start to fail?

~

Babbling brook,

Will you still babble on

When there’s no ear to listen

And everyone’s gone?
